Ashley Glover with Something You Events says there are several things you can do to help entertain your Super Bowl party guests, who don't really care about football.
Here are some fun games to share with your party guests:
Super Bowl Squares:
- "Sell" squares on a grid and have each person write their name on a square. $1 per square=$100.
- Once all the squares are sold, put the numbers in a bowl and draw for which number will be assigned to each square. Draw one side then put the numbers back in the bowl and draw for the other side of the grid.
- At the end of each quarter, whoever has the square that matches the last digit (or only digit) of the score wins.
If you're not into gambling, you can take the money raise and donate it to charity or offer other fun prizes instead of money.
Commercial BINGO:
Make a list of 25-30 things you're likely to see in a Super Bowl commercial, such as, a minivan, the name of a celebrity, dog, baby, etc.
Print several copies of blank BINGO cards and fill them in randomly with items from your list.
To save you time, we have provide premade BINGO cards you can print.
Board Games:
If you prefer regular games, there is Catchphrase, Apples to Apples, Taboo, Online Trivia. And if you don’t have the time to put these games together; you can always default to group/interactive games at half time or do speed rounds during longer commercial breaks.
Also, NFL.COM has created a trivia game where you have two (2) minutes to make it down the field and score by answering questions. Each question is weighted in yards depending on how difficult the question is.
Pick-a-player:
Write up the names of the key players in the game on both teams. Put the names in a hat and have everyone draw a name (or you could draw for an offensive and defensive player each if you don't have many bodies at your party). Every time that player is involved in a play you are able to pass out a drink. It's up to you whether or not to omit the quarterbacks since they are involved in every play. A touchdown is worth seven drinks for the player that scores it.
More or less:
The game is played for a car and three additional prizes. The contestant is shown an incorrect price for the first prize and is asked to guess whether its actual price is more or less than the one displayed. If the contestant is correct, he or she wins that prize and moves on to the next one; the car is the last prize. A mistake at any point ends the game, but the contestant keeps any prizes correctly priced up to that point.
