The annual forum organized by former North Carolina Gov. Jim Hunt is focusing on how to meet workforce, health care, education and other challenges for the newest generation of state residents.
The 27th annual Emerging Issues Forum wraps up Tuesday at the Raleigh Convention Center. There will be presentations from people like Gov. Beverly Perdue, U.S. Navy Secretary Ray Mabus, University of North Carolina system President Tom Ross and BB&T Corp. Chief Executive Kelly King.
The forum's topic is called "Investing in Gen Z" - a reference to Generation Z, or people born after the early 1990s. The two-day event highlights how the technologically connected generation is changing the state and world.
The forum is put on by the Institute for Emerging Issues at North Carolina State University.
