Chapel Hill Police say a UNC-Chapel Hill student was arrested Tuesday after he tried to flee from the scene of a fight.
Several officers were dispatched to a "large fight in progress" on Franklin Street near the Varsity Theater. Authorities say several people were fighting when officers arrived.
One of the people fighting attempted to flee from the scene but was caught by police after a brief chase. The suspect, Corey D. Mock was taken into custody and charged with simple affray as well as resist, obstruct, and delay of a police officer.
Authorities say two officers were also "slightly" injured while handling the incident. Details of their injuries were not released.
