I-40 East was clear by 11:30 a.m. Friday morning after suffering major congestion earlier in the day.
A tractor-trailer collided with a pick-up truck around 6 a.m. near Garner and delays have been a problem all morning.
Highway 50 is a good alternate route, but will probably have delays too as more drivers take that route as well.
