If you’re a veteran looking for work, NBC-17 wants to help connect you with the right employer.
A special event for veterans, “Hiring Our Heroes,” was held Friday at the Crown Center in Fayetteville from 9 a.m. to noon.
The event was designed to connect veterans with employers to make sure those who have served are back in the work force and have the right fit for their skills. It’s part of a national push by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, Department of Labor and American Legion in conjunction with NBC News.
"Hiring Our Heroes" was free for veterans and hundreds of veterans came to the event.
The event featured more than 78 companies and key veterans service organizations were also on hand.
