»  Comments | Post a Comment

The marching band from Raleigh’s Broughton High School appeared in the Tournament of Roses Parade Monday in Pasadena, Calif.

The parade began at 11 a.m. and is being carried live on NBC-17. You can follow the band on its Facebook page at http://www.facebook.com/broughtonband.

Broughton also appeared in the parade in 2008.

The Tournament of Roses Parade, which began in 1890, is a run-up to the Monday’s Rose Bowl. The parade actually started before the bowl game, which began in 1902.

Wisconsin, with former N.C. State star Russell Wilson at quarterback, plays Oregon in this year’s game.
