A North Carolina State Highway Patrol applicant died Wednesday afternoon shortly after completing a mile and a half run.
Highway Patrol was conducting an applicant screen process around 12:30 Wednesday. One trooper applicant collapsed after completing the run. The applicant was taken to Wake Medical Center where he was later pronounced dead.
The name of the applicant has not been released at this time.
