A pedestrian is in the hospital after being struck near the intersection of Duraleigh Road and Pleasant Valley Road in Raleigh Thursday evening.

Raleigh Police say the accident occurred shortly before 7 p.m.

Authorities closed a portion of Duraleigh Road at Pleasant Valley Road as accident reconstruction crews conducted their investigation.

No word on what led to the accident. It is not clear the extent of the victim's injuries.
