The ongoing battle over neighborhood schools in Wake County continues to make national headlines.
Former President Bill Clinton weighed in, slamming the school board while he spoke to a group in Arkansas over the weekend.
Listen to Clinton's statements in the video above.
Clinton is just one of several people, including Education Secretary Arne Duncan and comedian Stephen Colbert, to criticize the school board's decision to eliminate the diversity policy.
Board Chairman Ron Margiotta said those people should just keep quiet.
"I think President Clinton, anyone in that type of leadership capacity, should be concerned with the impact of their statements," Margiotta said. "It certainly doesn't help morale of our school system, doesn't help the morale of our staff, our students and our community."
Margiotta also said he would challenge President Clinton to make a trip to Wake County and get a closer look at the situation.
