Two dogs die in Durham house fire

A fire killed two dogs and heavily damaged a Durham home Sunday afternoon.

Durham County EMS arrived at the home, located at 1306 E. Main St. around 3 p.m. EMS were able to pull one dog from the home and revived the dog at the scene. Two other dogs died in the house fire.

No other injuries were reported. 

Authorities believe the fire started on the back porch of the one-story wood framed house. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
