The Town of Clayton celebrated the grand opening of its newest Post Office on Tuesday.
The East Clayton Contract Postal Unit, located at 50 Neuse River Parkway, will be open six days a week. Contract Postal Units are alternatives to the traditional Post Offices and are usually located within or near major retailers such as Food Lion and Harris Teeter.
"The office will help to increase convenience and access to postal services for customers unable to travel to Clayton's main Post Office," said Clayton Postmaster Rebecca Shires.
A full line of postal products, including stamps, will be available at the new location.
The East Clayton will be open Monday-Friday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
